NEWARK, NJ - Students, staff and faculty of Pillar College, Newark Campus, took on a concept quickly spreading across the country. The Hugging Trees trend began in Seymour, Indiana, with the idea to provide scarves for those without shelter.
The Student Government Association, the BLEND class (Bi-Lingual Entry Degree) and many others, joined in to assemble and distribute over 75 scarves in Military Park, Newark. Pillar College partnered with Atlantic Stewardship Bank, who donated cinch sacs filled with lotion, soap, toothbrush, and a warm hat.
Pillar College thanks Military Park for allowing them to do this again this year.
