PISCATAWAY, NJ – Fans of Piscataway’s WaWa can look forward to another as the Township Planning Board approved plans for the convenience store chain to build a second location.

The new WaWa will be built on Stelton Road at Trent Place adjacent to the former Allen & Bubenick site, near the intersection with South Washington Ave., said township officials.

Company representatives presented site plans at the Sept. 11 planning board meeting to build a 5,051 square foot, 24-hour store along with five fueling stations.

“Piscataway’s second Wawa is part of the revitalization of the Stelton Road corridor and will complement the significant road improvements being made,” Mayor Brian C. Wahler said on Monday.

WaWa opened its first food and fuel store in Piscataway in Dec. 2018 at 555 New Durham Road.
