Update: Police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the homicide of Raphael Edwards, 27, Village Drive, Franklin Park, New Jersey.

FRANKLIN PARK, NJ - The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, with the Franklin Township Police Department are investigating the shooting death of a local man.
Raphael Edwards, 27, of Franklin Park was shot and killed Tuesday night according to police.
Police responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting shots being fired on Tuesday at approximately 11:52 pm.
“Responding Officers located a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of Village Drive,” Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson said in a news release. “Franklin Township Police Officers immediately began to administer lifesaving measures along with responding emergency medical personnel.”
Edwards was transported to an area trauma center where he was subsequently pronounced deceased, police say.
"Preliminary investigation is that the shooting was an isolated incident,” Robertson said. “Investigators are attempting to establish a motive."
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Edwards by the Northern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause and manner of death.
