People who are concerned about the dangers to our health and safety because of current roll backs to environmental and climate regulations and the proposed defunding of the EPA are encouraged to attend this presentation to learn how to oppose the Trump administration’s regressive and dangerous policies.
“Forward Not Back, Central Jersey, an educational and advocacy group that formed in the wake of Donald Trump’s presidency and Republican control of Congress, is dedicated to protecting the environment from the assaults we are currently experiencing and outright climate denial of this administration” states Tina Weishaus, a member of the Environmental and Climate Committee.
According to Doug O’Malley, a statewide environmental leader for more than a decade, “As President Trump is proposing to endanger our health and threaten our children’s future…it is incumbent on states to double down on their commitments. We need state leadership more than ever and federal climate defenders more than ever.”
“We are hoping that this forum will be a first step for people to get informed on the issues and through Forward Not Back, Central Jersey develop a vehicle and a strategy for pressuring our elected representatives at the state and federal levels to do the right thing for their constituents and future generations,” says Ms. Weishaus. “We have no choice, we have to act.”
