BRIDGEWATER, NJ- The Somerset Patriots (14-12, 56-40) shut out the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (11-16, 49-47) 1-0 at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.
Kyle Roller provided the Patriots and starting pitcher David Kubiak (5-8) all the offense they needed with a solo home run (15) in the second inning.
Kubiak pitched seven scoreless innings and struck out seven batters to earn the win.
