BRANCHBURG, NJ - Raritan Valley Community College’s women’s volleyball team has become the first team in the College’s history—of any sport—to place in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s (NJCAA) National Top 10 Rankings.

Following its Oct. 3 win against Bergen Community College, the RVCC women’s volleyball team is now 10th in the national rankings. The RVCC Lions started the season on a 9-game winning streak and the team is now 14-1.

“Heading into the season it was easy to see we had a lot of talent in our gym, but to achieve this accomplishment is truly a testament to our athletes and the hard work they put in every single day,” said the team’s Head Coach Phil Herro. “We are definitely proud to be in this position, but we know that we still have a lot to prove,” Coach Herro continued.
