FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - On Jan. 2, Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) will open it’s brand new Day Care and program delivery center located at 155 Pierce Street in Franklin Township.
The Center will continue to provide services to children ages infant through age 5 and the service hours will be from 7 AM – 6 PM Monday- Friday.
The new center will offer children a library/reading room, art room, child fitness center and a centralized area where special events and mystery readers will be coming in to read to the children.
The staff will welcome the more than 65 children Tuesday and continue to deliver the Grow NJ Kids curriculum. Grow NJ Kids is a state-sponsored initiative to raise the quality of child care and early learning throughout New Jersey. Grow NJ Kids gives child care and early learning programs resources to assess and improve their programs while providing parents with information that allows them to evaluate the quality of programs and make the best choices for their child.
The goal is to create a system that encourages ongoing improvement, enabling a child to move into kindergarten making only a social, not a social and academic transition.
Parents of our existing and prospective students are welcome and encouraged to drop in for a tour of the new center during regular hours or by calling 732-846-8888 to arrange a tour.
