FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Somerset County Sheriff Frank J. Provenzano wants to thank everyone who donated earlier this month to the annual “Toys for Tots” collection.
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office partnered again this year with the United States Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to collect new, unwrapped toys, to be distributed as holiday gifts to less fortunate children living in Somerset County.
“I want to thank our community for helping make our eighth annual ‘Toys for Tots’ collection a success,” said Sheriff Provenzano. “With generous support from residents, local businesses and state and county employees, hundreds of toys were collected, which will make the holidays merrier for many children this year.

"Every year I look forward to the “Toys for Tots” collection,” he said. “We couldn’t do it without the continued support of the local community and the generosity of the many people who open their hearts to celebrate the gift of giving.”
The United States Marine Corps Reserve has a close working relationship with social welfare agencies, churches and other local community agencies that identify needy children in the community and play important roles in distributing the toys.
“On behalf of the men and women of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, we wish you a safe and happy holiday,” said Sheriff Provenzano.
