FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - There is a new cafe in town, and it has already made its mark with a two part day long celebration.
Saturday morning patrons of Pierce Street Bagel Cafe Deli & Grill were treated to tasty deli samples, giveaways and the opportunity to meet the mayor during the ribbon cutting ceremony. During the afternoon cocktails and appetizers were severed for adults.
No matter what session people showed up, the purpose was for guests to mingle and get to know each other better.
Pierce Street Bagel Cafe Deli & Grill will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday's from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Corporate accounts are welcome, catering for all occasions, and delivery during the week is available.
"I picked my Franklin location because after looking at several locations in Somerset County, Franklin felt like the right fit, a neighborhood community," Owner Barabara Sabani said. "A place where everyone knows your name."
Sabani is the newest member of the Franklin Township Chamber of Commerce and after only a week of being in business has already contributed to the town.
"Mitch Fuhr (another new member of the chamber) gave me a call on Monday of this week and said I should reach out to Barbara," Franklin Food Bank Operations Manager Serena Bennerman said. "I gave her a call and came out to meet her myself, and she just has a great rapport, she is very warm-hearted, she indicated that she likes to give back. Barbara is donating seven to eight dozen bagels to us every day and she has only been here, in business for a week. She is also donating to us for the upcoming bike tour."
"The highlight of my day was the involvement I got from the mayor and the community of Franklin Township and also welcoming everyone into our family business," Sabani said.
