FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) has appointed Bertha C. Robinson as the PR coordinator for the NJAWBO Central Region. Robinson, a resident of Somerset, is the owner and president of Star One Professional Services, of Somerset, New Jersey. As the region PR coordinator, she is responsible to promote region events both locally and online.

Robinson is an innovative leader in the coaching and business consulting field using the proven processes of Resource Associates Corporation. She has 18 years of experience with problem solving, cross-functional leadership development, and business analysis that leads to successful goal attainment. Her passion and dedication is working with clients to maximize their organization’s value by assisting them in identifying and implementing innovative solutions. She challenges individuals and organizations to become better leaders of themselves and others while maintaining purpose and balance in their lives. She believes everyone should live their best life.

“When I decided to go into business for myself, I was told to join as many business networking organizations as possible,” explains Robinson. “I was advised to join my local chamber of commerce and, specifically, a worldwide organization known for business networking, which I did,” she continues, “but, it wasn’t the group for me—there was no talk of service for others. Soon after, I was invited to a women-in-business luncheon at a local bank and was introduced to NJAWBO. I was attracted by NJAWBO’s tagline—Relationships, Referrals, Revenue. This aligned with my mission of service. The businesswomen I met were genuine, motivated, and focused. At the end of that first meeting, I was so ‘fired up’ by what I experienced at that luncheon, that I knew I wanted to not only be a member but help in a leadership capacity as well.” You can learn more about Bertha at http://www.njawbo.org/members/?id=42064142.
