SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Police are investigating a carjacking Tuesday morning that took place in the parking lot of the Sonesta ES Suites Princeton – 4225 Route 1.

According to police, a guest of the hotel was sitting in his Honda Civic warming the vehicle up at 5:35 a.m. when two men approached him.

Police said the driver reported that one man, holding a gun, knocked on the driver’s side window and demanded the victim exit the vehicle.

The suspect then got into the vehicle and fled the hotel parking lot, police said.

Both suspects were described as wearing black ski masks and being of medium build.  

At 9:30am, Ewing Police recovered the stolen Honda in a parking lot off Bear Tavern Road, police said.

Detectives have processed the vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.
