East Brunswick, N.J. – April 08, 2017 – The lights of MetLife Stadium dimmed and the blue carpet was rolled out as participants of Easterseals New Jersey’s 2017 ‘Walk With Me’ and 5K run made their way to the stadium’s main entrance, to an all-star after-party that would make even Hollywood’s brightest stars gush. This year’s “Be A Superstar” theme was another major success in the annual springtime tradition, which has generated close to one million dollars in charitable donations since its inception seven years ago. These funds continue to provide much-needed assistance to those living with disabilities in communities across the garden state.

The sun shined down on the field of MetLife Stadium, as two-time host, 92.3 AMP Radio’s Edgar ‘Shoboy’ Sotelo, led over 1,000 participants to walk, run, jog or stroll for individuals with disabilities and special needs. Attendees made their way over a ‘Walk of Fame’, highlighting real-life superstar donors in their continual support of the Easterseals cause. As attendance continues to grow yearly, runners and walkers from all over the state came in droves, hoping to make their mark across the finish line. Time even turned back as ‘Marilyn Monroe’ and ‘Charlie Chaplin’ impersonators were in attandence guiding our guests throughout the event and rallying in support of our superstar program participants.

The impressive set up sprawled all hundred yards of the professional-grade turf of one of New Jersey’s largest event venues as sponsors provided another memorable and exciting day of fun. National sponsors CVS Health,A.C. Moore & CraftsAmway, and Century 21 Realtors were on-hand, once again taking valuable to time provide support to our local families, and better enrich the lives of those living with disabilities. VIP guests including ‘Miss New Jersey 2016’ Brenna Weick, internet sensations The McClure Twins , D2W Wrestlers, and Miss NJ Teen Briahna Reinstein were all on-hand, capturing moments and stylish photos with all attendees. New Jersey’s premiere sandwich-shop, Jersey Mike’s, once again replenished walkers and runners with complementary subs and fruit, making the day’s exclusive after-party a delicious catered affair!
