The Essex County Chapter of The Links, Incorporated (ECCL) has been working steadily on voter registration and Census. ECCL has organized a number of activities to make sure that residents in the community are counted and able to participate in the electoral process. "The Essex County chapter is proud to join with other Links chapters across the country in this important effort to register voters and assist our community in completing the census. “Together We Count!”", expressed the chapter's President Dr. Karma B. Warren. They chapter has set up voter registration tables all throughout the county. The chapter' co-chairs of their National Trends and Services Facet (Diane Barreiro-Bundy, Candi Carter and Deborah Enix-Ross) are  committed to creating awareness and helping residents with the process. Their next registration drive will be on Saturday, Oct 10th from 10am-2pm at Shoprite in West Orange. Please stop by the table. The last day for voter registration is Tuesday, October 13.

The chapter is also promoting a 20 for 20 Census Campaign. Asking residents to contact 5 family members, friends or neighbors and ask them if they have completed the Census. Then ask each of them to contact 4 more individuals. The goal is to continuously reach out and encourage everyone to complete the census. Co-Chair Deborah Enix-Ross stated, "The Essex County Links are proud to continue the tradition of serving our community by making sure every eligible voter is registered and every household is counted in the census."
