FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ - This month the public library will be hosting not just one, but two free holiday concerts for the public.
Sunday, Dec. 10 the Franklin High School Madrigals will be performing at 2 p.m.
The Franklin High School Madrigals Ensemble will perform a program of carols and works from the Renaissance period. The Madrigal Singers are members of the Concert Choir from Franklin High School who have auditioned to be admitted into this special ensemble and serve as goodwill ambassadors for Franklin High School.
Next Saturday, Dec. 16 the City Winds Trio will be performing at 2 p.m.
City Winds Trio consists of Crispian Fordham on flute, Meredyth Coleman on oboe and Yuki Higashi on bassoon.
They will be playing selections from The Nutcracker, traditional and popular carols, and waltzes such as Waltz of the Flowers and The Skater's Waltz. City Winds Trio has performed on over 100 notable Chamber Music Series throughout the East Coast including: Trinity Church, St. Paul’s Chapel, Riverside Church, Cathedral St. John the Divine, St. Alban’s, Bryant Park, Tudor City and more.
These concerts are open to the public. Registration is requested but not required.
