Franklin Township Public Library - Meditation (Tuesday and Wednesday) 

Mindfulness is the art of being a compassionate observer of our own experience. Mindfulness meditation can help us reduce stress & be more compassionate towards ourselves and others. It helps us step back and press a pause button to take in the present moment experience.

SCAP - Free Budgeting to Create Savings Workshop

Participants will learn to use a monthly debt and spending tracker to find spending leaks in your budget. With that information, you will learn how to create a workable budget and begin saving. Click here for details.

Franklin High School

The Franklin Lady Warriors will be playing Rutgers Prep at home. They lost their season opener to Rutgers Prep, but beat them last season to advance to the finals. Tip off is at 7 p.m. at the high school, on 500 Elizabeth Avenue. 

Franklin Township Public Library 

In the summer of 1964, Brooks Smith, a North Plainfield resident and retired Presbyterian minister, volunteered in Mississippi with the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC). He will discuss his experiences and the importance the event played in civil rights history. This program is appropriate for teens and adults. Click here for details and registration.
