NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Authorities are calling a Saturday night blaze "accidental," after two alleged squatters died in the flames.
Police responded to a condemned, boarded-up home on Seaman Street at 9:50 p.m. on Saturday. The dwelling was already engulfed in fire.
Two men were pulled out of the burning structure and taken to Robert Wood Johnson Wood University Hospital in New Brunswick, where they were pronounced dead.
Firefighters believe the fire was accidental and it was quickly knocked down.
Two firefighters also suffered minor injuries, police said.
