SOMERSET, NJ - Venus Jewelers is hosting its annual Gem and Design Show on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10-6pm, with gem hunter and gem cutter, David Artinian, showcasing his gemstone collection from around the world.
David Artinian, gem hunter, travels the world in search of rare gems. He travels to central Sri Lanka for sapphires, Brazil for its famed aquamarines, amethysts, and tourmalines, and to countless remote mines around the world to deliver on his mission of bringing gems from "earth to you". This year's featured rare find are natural color change alexandrites, hand carried from Madagascar.
Skipping the traditional middleman by going directly to his gemstone cutting facility in Chanthaburi, Thailand, David has always sought to bring the greatest value to market. These rough gem finds, often resembling mere rocks when unearthed, are fashioned into its final, rare form by local artisans that David has trained and mentored in all aspects of gemstone cutting. David's unwavering commitment to fair trade and giving back to the community, is a part of what makes these gemstones so special.
Thousands of gemstones will be on display for one day only, Saturday, Sept 8th, from 10-6pm at Venus Jewelers, featuring gems from $10-$100,000. There will be refreshments and $1000 in gemstone giveaways. Admission is free; advance registration is recommended. For more info and free tickets TAP here.
