Rutgers Gardens Farmers Market

Even though it is not taking place in Franklin you don’t have to travel far to enjoy the season’s bounty. Rutgers Gardens Farmers Market is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Rutgers Gardens, 112 Ryders Ln. More than 20 vendors will be on hand.

Saturday, July 22

Franklin Township’s Farmers Market (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

The Franklin Township Community Farmers Market supports Franklin Township agriculture and NJ agriculture. Visitors are encouraged to ask farmers about their local farms and specialty vendors about where in New Jersey they source the ingredients for their products.

JFK Club of Franklin Township 

All are invited to attend the JFK Club/Franklin Twp. Democrats Annual Picnic, scheduled from 12 Noon to 3 PM, at Lot G- Pine Grove Pavilion on Mettlers Road, in Colonial Park in Franklin Township. There will be hot dogs, hamburgers and veggie burgers with all the fixings and watermelon for dessert. There will be side dishes like potato salad and cole slaw.

Township of Franklin 

Explore wilderness right in the heart of Franklin Township. Meet up at 9:00 am at the parking lot located up the hill of the driveway entrance located at 1091 Canal Road --just west of the Griggstown Causeway. In July, the wildflowers are in full bloom and the butterflies will be at their peak.
