Franklin Woman's Club Hosts Fundraising Wine Tasting at Old York Cellars

On Sunday, October 8th, the Franklin Woman’s Club hosted a Wine Tasting Fundraiser at Old York Cellars, nestled in Hunterdon County’s scenic Sourland Mountains (80 Old York Rd. Ringoes, NJ).  Proceeds will be used to support operations of the Franklin Woman’s Club, a non - profit organization committed to improving the community through volunteerism as seen in the following:

 

Initiatives to help prevent Child Abuse

The purchase of oxygen masks to revive animals

Sign Up for E-News

Funds to provide vaccinations to children in other parts of the world

College scholarships for graduating high school females

Support of the military through Christmas stocking donations

Donations of holiday food baskets for Franklin Township families in need

Donations of funds to support senior center activities,

 and much more.

 

The Wine Tasting included a tasting of six wines along with a light buffet dinner and dessert.  Attendees’ names were entered into a drawing for door prizes and received a coupon for 10% off any wine bottles purchased at the event or a free wine tasting on a future visit!

The Franklin Woman’s Club acknowledges the local vendors who supported the event:  Famas Nursery, Rt. 27, Somerset; ShopRite, Elizabeth Avenue, Somerset; Flower Station, Veronica Avenue, Somerset and Pampered Chef Consultant, Janice DeMelo.

The Franklin Woman’s Club is part of the General and New Jersey State Federations of Women's Clubs,

an international women's organization with over 80,000 members in affiliated clubs in every state, the District of Columbia, and more than a dozen countries. GFWC members work in their own communities to support the arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, encourage civic involvement and work toward world peace and understanding.

 

In addition to community initiatives, the Franklin Woman’s Club also features frequent social and educational events for enrichment.
