New Brunswick Jazz Project Presents the Gerry Gibbs Quartet

When Gerry Gibbs tries something different, it shouldn’t surprise. After all, the drummer/composer/arranger’s career includes sideman stints with giants of straight-ahead jazz, avant-garde, fusion, R&B, and funk. Case in point: At age nineteen he performed with Woody Shaw, Alice Coltrane, and Parliament Funkadelic in one manic ten-day stretch.
