Many donors assume that they are not eligible to donate blood because they are taking medication.  In fact, most medications will NOT disqualify you from being an eligible donor.
Most medications for blood pressure, high cholesterol, thyroid and mental health conditions are acceptable as well as blood thinners for blood donation (but not for platelet donations).

 Donors age 76 and older can continue to donate blood if they meet all donor criteria and present a physician's letter allowing them to donate.
