FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ – Black Belt World celebrated its grand opening in Somerset with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house on Saturday.

Located at 1075 Easton Ave. in the Village Plaza, Black Belt World (BBW) features modern Tae Kwon Do martial arts curriculum and training for children and adults, teaching both self-defense and self-improvement skills.

Mayor Phil Kramer and shopping center representatives joined BBW’s students and staff, along with Grand Master Hyun Jun Kim, to help cut the ceremonial ribbon, officially announcing the dojo or school is open for business.

Saturday’s open house also included Tae Kwon Do demonstrations and dance performances in the school’s parking lot, along with bounce houses, an ice cream bar and parent information from local businesses, all in a festival type setting.
