SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Franklin increased to 870 on Sunday, increasing by 48 overnight, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.

In Franklin, 69 residents died due to COVID-19 complications according to the SCDH. According to the state Health Department, 46 of the COVID-19 related deaths in Franklin happened in long-term-care facilities.

There are 2,848 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the SCDOH, an increase of 135 overnight.

There are 217 COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County, one percent aged 18-29, four percent aged 30-49, 11 percent aged 50-64, 34 percent aged 65-79, and 52 percent aged 80 plus, according to statistics proved by the SCDOH.

Statewide, there is a total of 109,038 cases, an increase of 3,515 overnight, with the statewide death toll now at 5,938, an increase of 75 overnight, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 114,106 negative test results.

There are 954,132 cases in the United States, with 54,573 deaths; worldwide, there are 2,934,1416 cases and 205,607 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
