SOMERSET, NJ - On April 11, 2006, East Franklin Volunteer Fire Department in Somerset, NJ lost 21-year-old Kevin Apuzzio in the Line of Duty while trying to save a victim. 

Tonight EFFD will be awarded the FAST Board and FAST Rescue Solutions through a grant which assists in rescuing first responders and victims in less time by 800 percent according to Fast Rescue Solutions staff. 

"The tragedy that occurred with Kevin Apuzzio is one that we hear over and over in the fire service," Eric Allen, Fast Rescue Solutions LLC Co Owner/Creator said in a press release. "It has been a constant and something that we have far too often come to except as part of the job."
