SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Franklin rose to 1,140 on Wednesday, increasing by 6 overnight, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.  

A total of 337 deaths in Somerset County have been attributed to COVID-19 an increase of 2 overnight, according to the SCDH. 

In Franklin, the daily average of cases reported during the month of April stood at 32, in May that number has fallen to 15.

The number of new daily cases in the county has leveled off so far in May. During the month of April, there was a daily average of 106 new cases being reported. In May, the daily average of new cases in the county is 37 as of today.

In Franklin, 98 residents died due to COVID-19 complications according to the SCDH. According to the state Health Department, 67 of the COVID-19 related deaths in Franklin happened in long-term-care facilities.

There are 3,646 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the SCDOH, an increase of 17 since yesterday.

There are 335 COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County, demographic information has only been provided for 335 as of 2:04 pm today. One person aged 18-29, 11 people aged 30-49, 33 people aged 50-64, 115 people aged 65-79, and 175 people over the age of 80 have died, according to statistics proved by the SCDOH.

Statewide, there is a total of 141,560 cases, an increase of 817 overnight, with 9,702 deaths reported, an increase of 194 since yesterday, according to the State Department of Health.
