SOMERVILLE, NJ - The number of reported COVID-19 cases in Franklin increased to 1,057 on Thursday, increasing by 9 since yesterday, according to the Somerset County Department of Health.

In Franklin, 88 residents died due to COVID-19 complications according to the SCDH. According to the state Health Department, 67 of the COVID-19 related deaths in Franklin happened in long-term-care facilities.

There are 3,436 cases in Somerset County, according to statistics provided by the SCDOH, an increase of 49 since last night.

There are 311 COVID-19 related deaths in Somerset County. As of 6:20 pm today, only 309 have demographic information - one person aged 18-29, 10 people aged 30-49, 31 people aged 50-64, 104 people aged 65-79, and 163 people over the age of 80 have died, according to statistics proved by the SCDOH.

Statewide, there is a total of 133,635 cases, an increase of 1,745 overnight, with 8,801 deaths reported, an increase of 252 since Wednesday, according to the State Department of Health. Statewide there have been 159,023 negative test results.

There are 1,250,739 cases in the United States, with 75,423 deaths; worldwide, there are 3,825,028 cases and 267,469 deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
