SOMERSET, NJ - The public is invited to Franklin High School's "Clap-In" at the school Thursday morning at 7 am. 

The purpose of the event is to cheer on FHS students as they enter their 1st day of the 2019-2020 school year.

"As we begin a positive and productive school year, we extend a special, yearlong invitation to you to join us at all activities and events," a news release from the school reads. "We value your support in the education of the children of Franklin Township!  Your active participation is key to the success of our Warriors."

In addition to the "Clap-In" at the high school, all of the other schools will also open to start the year except for Kindergarten classes, which will start Monday, Sept. 9.
