Franklin High School's Junior Classical League went to the National Convention for a week in July at North Dakota State University.  Seven Franklin students attended, led by advisor Jennifer Jones.  

Alex Pagnetti won a national JCL scholarship (in absentia).

Nia Abdullah won 14th in Hellenic History, 7th place in her essay, 8th place in impromptu art, and 8th in 200 meter girls' track and performed in That's Entertainment (national talent show) where she recited a poem 

Angela Gallagher won 8th place in Friscus (discus), 22nd in classical art, and 27th in mythology

Tiffany Williams won 15th place in Hellenic History, 27th in academic heptathlon, 7th in jewelry, 9th in black pencil drawing, 4th place in the marathon (a short version), and 9th place in the 100 meter track

Vincent Villuri won 19th place in Classical Greek, 21st in Hellenic history, 21st in Greek Derivatives, 28th place in Roman life, 23rd place in Greek life and literature, 29th place in Classical Art, 2nd place in costume, 7th place in 800 meter track

Uma Surampudi won 13th place in friscus, and 24th in classical art

Shira Levine won 6th place in her essay, 6th place in small models, 8th place in pottery, 10th place in acrylic/oil, and 10th place in shot put

Justin Kahagi won 14th place in shot put, 11th place in friscus, 11th place in the 200 meter track, 17th place in Hellenic history, 27th place in mythology, and 29th place in mottoes
