SOMERSET, NJ - This summer Somerset Community Action Program (SCAP) will be providing free virtual programs for youth throughout Somerset County. 

SCAP is a nonprofit organization with the mission to develop and implement long-lasting solutions to combat poverty by empowering low-income residents of Somerset County through economic self-sufficiency initiatives and programs. 

As part of this initiative the programs SCAP will be providing over the summer will be focused on youth empowerment and creating fun and exciting opportunities for youth ages 5 and up.

As an advocate for partnerships with both the community and local businesses Scap has partnered with Grades4life and Master Han owner of Powerkick USA and Young Moo Tao Kwon Do for this summer's programs.

These programs include, Virtual Karate for youth ages 5 and up and Young Sharkpreneurs (Youth Entrepreneurship) program for youth ages 13 and up. 

All programs are FREE to join for community members and entry is on a first come first serve basis.  

We also encourage local businesses to participate in our rewards program which will allow them to engage and support the community and promote their businesses to local residents.
