My name is Alhaji “Noah” Fofanah and I’m asking for your support to elect me for Franklin Township’s Council-At-Large. If you don’t yet know me, I hope the following will give you good insights into who I am and why I’m running to represent you in Franklin’s Town Council.

I emigrated from Sierra Leone in 1999 due to a long civil war. Like generations of immigrants before me, America welcomed me with open arms and gave me opportunities to grow, learn, and pay back the benefits of being an American. As part of that service to America, I joined the US Army.  I was honorably discharged after my initial enlistment and I’m looking to serve on Franklin’s town council to continue my dedication to public service. The discipline, teamwork, and honor I learned during my time in the US Army will forever be a part of my character.

I am a graduate of Kean University in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and am currently employed as the Quality Assurance Coordinator and Residential Manager for Delta Community Service in Raritan, New Jersey.

A big passion in my life is remembering my Sierra Leone heritage. I am a member of the Sierra Leonean Community of New Jersey (SLCNJ) where I work across party lines to mentor our youth. The goal is to keep our local young men and women out of trouble and to provide counseling to them about college. I’m also a founding member of the Sierra Leone American Veterans Organization (SAVO) where I help both veterans and active service men and women with how to cope with life challenges.

Did you know that even registered Democrats can vote for Republicans on November 5th? Your vote is a secret between you and the voting booth. Please consider voting for me regardless of what party you prefer. A vote for me is a vote for much needed change in Franklin Township.

Franklin is a large and diverse town with a great history, great people, and a great future. I firmly believe that diverse voices on Franklin’s council are needed to advocate for better and more recreational facilities for our young, protect our open spaces for future generations, and work with businesses interested in locating in Franklin so that we can have jobs and prosperity.
Thank you for your time to read this message and I hope you will support me with your vote. If you would like more information on my campaign, my position on issues affecting Franklin, or how you can help the One Franklin, One Family campaign, please contact my online campaign at
