SOMERSET, NJ - On Monday an 11-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle while walking to Hillcrest Elementary school, today you can help him and his family.

Matthew Rodriquez is his name, and he recently moved to Franklin with his mom, dad, and three sisters. All three of his sisters attend Franklin High School.

The Franklin Township President Council Organization set up a Meal Train to help the Rodriquez family in their time of need.

FTPCO President Nicolas DiMeglio said the Meal Train calendar was packed within hours, with members of the community signing up to bring or buy meals for the family.

Members of the community can still help the family by dropping off Uber Eats, Doordash or supermarket gift cards at the main office at Franklin High School located at 500 Elizabeth Avenue.

"Let's all come together for this family like only Franklin knows how to do," DiMeglio told TAPinto. "We should keep them in our thoughts and prayers."

A member of the FTPCO will drop off the gift cards to the family next week. TAP here for more details.
