NEW BRUNSWICK - One man was in custody Saturday and a second man was being for sought the fatal shooting Friday of a 23-year-old city resident and the wounding of a second victim in the Robeson Village apartment complex.

Christopher “C-Dub” Thompson, 26, of Edison, is being sought on charges of murder, and attempted murder, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew Carey and city police Director Anthony Caputo said in a statement today.

A second suspect, Eric "E-Z" Inman, 25, of New Brunswick, is being held on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, all stemming from the fatal Larenz Ogarro of New Brunswick, Carey said.

Authorities said city police responded to reports shots fired about 8 p.m. Friday and found Ogarro lying in a parking lot on Van Dyke Avenue, having suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Ogarro was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in the city where he was pronounced dead, Carey said. He said the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office  determined that the death was a homicide.

New Brunswick police Detective Kenneth Abode and Detective David Abromaitis of the prosecutor’s office determine Thompson and Inman were suspects in the fatal shooting of Ogarro, as well as the  assault on a 19-year-old man from North Brunswick, the prosecutor said.

He gave no details as to what led police to identify the two suspects, or when or where Inman was arrested.
