East Brunswick Woman Charged in Route 18 Stabbing

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Police responded to a report of a stabbing Wednesday night at 14 Rodney Road, East Brunswick, near Racetrack Road and Route 18 South.

According to a report issued by the East Brunswick Police Department Thursday, patrol units responded to 14 Rodney Road for a report of an assault which involved a stabbing on Sept. 27, at approximately 11:56 p.m. 

Upon arrival, officers found the victim in front of the residence with a wound to his abdomen.  The officers rendered first aid to the victim until he was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, where he is currently listed in stable condition. 

The investigation revealed the victim was stabbed by the resident of 14 Rodney Road, Raquel Guarderas, 39 years of age.  Guarderas was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purpose.
