EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - A breakdown on Ryders Lane caused a problem for an east Brunswick Police Department officer when a father and son got into a tussle following the report of a disabled vehicle. 

On December 10, 2018 at approximately 12am, Ptl. Luke Guinee was dispatched to the area of Ryders Lane near Sullivan Way for a report of a disabled motor vehicle, says a report issued by the East Brunswick Police Department.

Upon arrival, Ptl. Guinee was advised by the driver of the vehicle, Taylor Kracsun, 24, of South River, NJ, that he was waiting for his father to arrive on scene to assist him.

Upon the father arriving, Kracsun and his father began to have a verbal dispute, and Ptl. Guinee attempted to separate the two individuals.

During the course of the dispute, Kracsun attempted to punch Ptl. Guinee in the head and after a brief struggle, was taken into custody without incident.

Kracsun was charged with Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement Officer and DWI. He was released pending a court date.
