FLEMINGTON, NJ – A Hunterdon man has been arrested on sexual assault charges that involve three different juvenile victims, according to a July 22 press release from Acting Hunterdon County Prosecutor Michael J. Williams.
Darren Pieper, 44, of Readington, was arrested today, the release states. The victims were assaulted on various dates between 2011 and 2015, Williams said, and the crimes occurred in Readington and Raritan Townships.
Pieper was charged with three counts of second-degree sexual assault of a minor and three counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child via sexual conduct.
This isn't Pieper's first arrest. He was arrested a month ago "on possession of child pornography charges" after having been arrested the month previously on a string of charges related to a missing juvenile.
Williams said the investigation into Pieper involves multiple law enforcement agencies and is ongoing. He’s asking any person with information regarding Pieper to call his Special Victims Unit at 908-788-1129.
The press release was issued jointed by Williams, his Chief of Detectives Frank R. Crisologo, Readington Township Police Chief Joe Greco and Raritan Township Police Chief Al Payne.
