EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater, presents Little Shop of Horrors, a musical by Howard Ashman and Alan Menken. The show runs September 14 through September 30.
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatergoers for over 30 years.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
Playhouse 22’s Little Shop of Horrors is directed by Jeff Seesselberg, choreography Raven Dunbar, and music direction by Joseph Lesky.
Playhouse 22’s performances will be Friday and Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m.
Please note that there will be no Sunday, September 23 matinee performance; however there will be two performances on September 22 at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m.
