SOMERSET, NJ - Police confirm there was an accident involving three vehicles on Easton Avenue near JFK Boulevard. Police say they do not have any evidence confirming a transformer explosion. 

According to FTPD Lt. Phil Rizzo there were no injuries during the three-car accident. 

"We urge motorists to maintain an adequate following distance in the event that traffic needs to abruptly stop," Rizzo told TAPinto.

Two accidents were reported by the Breaking News Network Wednesday night. 

At approximately 7 pm a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Cedar Grove Lane and New Brunswick Road, according to an alert from BNN. 

The victim was transported to a local hospital according to a BNN alert. 

"We are investigating a crash with apparent non-life threating injuries," FTPD Lt. Phil Rizzo told TAPinto. 

Three cars crashed on Easton Avenue near JFK Boulevard and caused a transformer explosion at approximately 8 pm according to a BNN alert.

No injuries were reported.
