OLEAN, NY -- What is your identity and how does it affect your daily interactions with others? Do you feel connected to all those who live in our community or do you see some as separate? If someone is disabled, of another faith, another race, another sexual identity do you have compassion for them? Do you understand them?

The African American Center for Cultural Development is inviting anyone in the area who would like to partake in a conversation for understanding and compassion on how others experience the world differently to come together Saturday, from noon to 2 p.m., and share a dish-to-pass meal in an effort to bring the Greater Olean community's diverse populations together.

The event, billed as a Community Meal and Conversation on Equity and Compassion, will be held in the handicap-accessible Bethany Lutheran Church, 6 Leo Moss Drive,
