ALLEGANY, NY — An Allegany man faces several charges after a short pursuit on Saturday.
Damian Greaves, 23, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer, second-degree unlicensed operations and moving viiolations.
Charges stem from an incident on 1-86 where Greaves was allegedly traveling 90 mph in a 65 mph zone. Once police activated their sirens in attempt to stop Greaves, he alluded police into a pursuit that lasted four miles, said New York State Police. Troopers administered a breath test, and Greaves registered a blood alcohol level of 0.18 percent.
Greaves was arraigned in Allegany Town Court and issued a ticket to appear at court on a later date.
