LITTLE VALLEY, N.Y – The fourth annual Wooly Bear Weekend WILMA (We Invite Local Manufacturers & Artisans) will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Corporate Building at the Cattaraugus County Fairgrounds.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism sponsors the two-day event to promote the products of local businesses in the Cattaraugus County area and encourages people to support local artisans and manufacturers.
Over 20 vendors will showcase items they have made, including candles, rugs, jewelry, apparel, blankets, toys and more.
Buyers are guaranteed to get a product that is locally made since all vendors must reside in Cattaraugus County and can only sell products they either manufactured or made by hand. WILMA allows buyers to check things off their Christmas list while also supporting local businesses.
Aside from shopping, families can take part in a variety of planned activities, including a Wooly Bear race, a winter weather prediction, a coloring contest, door prizes and more. Parents also have the option of leaving their children in the “kids” corner, where entertainment will be provided.
Interested vendors can contact Deb Miller at 716-938-2318.
The event is free to the public and will be held rain or shine.
