How safe would you feel teaching in-person classes this fall? Why or why not?

It is impossible at this point in time to say how safe I would feel teaching in-person classes this fall. We have no idea, none, what the situation will look like in the fall regarding COVID-19. Nor have we been given any indication at this point in time what the classroom arrangements might be.

What precautions need to be put into place for you to feel safe?

Same answer as number 1.

What were your biggest takeaways from teaching online? If you had to do it again this year, would you be okay with that?

I didn’t teach online last semester.  I was on sabbatical. I looked forward to returning to teach in classrooms this fall, but now I am quite hesitant about entering a classroom again without understanding more fully what I would be stepping into.

What were your thoughts on the email from HR?

The letter from HR was WAY out of line, given my response to question 1 above. The university should retract that letter and apologize for it.
