Cattaraugus County Board of Elections Extends Office Hours Oct. 23-Nov. 4


LITTLE VALLEY, NY - The Cattaraugus County Board of Elections office will be open for extended hours during the two weeks prior to Election Day on Nov. 7, allowing voters more time to apply for absentee ballots.

The central office, located in the former Little Valley Elementary School at 207 Rock City St. Suite 100, will be open  on the following days and times:

  • Monday, Oct. 23 – 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Oct. 25 – 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, Oct. 28 - 9 a.m. until noon

  • Monday, Oct. 30 - 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 1 - 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

  • Saturday, Nov. 4 - 9 a.m. until noon

Any voters who will be absent from the county due to occupation, education or vacation, or who have permanent physical disabilities or illnesses that would not allow them to go to the polls Election Day, or are caregivers for someone who is ill or physically disabled, are eligible to receive absentee ballots.

Voters can postmark an application for an absentee ballot until Oct. 31. Ballots being returned to the Board of Elections must be postmarked by Nov. 6 or delivered to the county board or to a poll site location by close of polls on Election Day.

Voters applying for absentee ballots in person at the Board of Elections must do so on or before Nov. 6.

Unregistered residents wishing to vote in the general election on Nov. 7 must register, in person or postmarked, by Oct. 13.

Absentee ballot applications and voter registration forms are available by mail or email or may be downloaded from the Board of Elections website at http://www.cattco.org/board-elections.
