Cattaraugus County confirmed its 212th case of COVID-19 Sunday.
The latest case is a woman who lives in the southeast corner of the county. She denies any significant travel history but reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person, according to news release from the county health department. She developed congestion, and headaches, was tested for COVID-19 on Wednesday, and her test results on Saturday were positive.
The health department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that the woman has been in contact with and the places that she has visited.
There are 11 active COVID-19 cases in the country; 196 residents have recovered, and five have died.
