LIMESTONE, NY – A resident of Leonard Run Road was reported missing by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office on March 18.
Scott A. Wolcott, 50, was last seen around 3 a.m. on March 16 at his home. He is approximately 6 feet and 2 inches tall, weighs about 200 pounds and was wearing blue jeans, sneakers and a black leather jacket.
Capt. Shawn Gregory said between the day Wolcott was declared missing and the day the sheriff's office issued the press release, the department used numerous resources to attempt to locate him.
"We had a deputy trying to find leads and interview people that weekend," Gregory said.
He added that the department used a K-9 unit, a state helicopter, a search team and a bloodhound to try and track Wolcott from his car which was parked in his driveway. With no success, Gregory said the department decided to reach out to the public.
Anyone with information on Wolcott or his whereabouts is urged to call the sheriff’s office at 716-938-9191.
