The Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Library System has launched a series of virtual Big Read events this fall. Featured are book discussions, art sessions and online panels with local authors.
The National Endowment for the Arts, in partnership with Arts Midwest, is funding the Big Read.
The schedule and registration information are below:
- Oct. 23, 10-10:45 a.m., "Magic of Monsterology with Ron Cain." Persons should email firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
- Oct. 29, 6-7 p.m., "Art with Wendy Bale." Persons can register by clicking https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1901008735204414987.
- Nov. 4, 10-11 a.m., "Art with Samantha Nolloth." Persons can register by clicking https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6317153207744805387
- Nov. 6, 6-7 p.m., "Mysterious World: Bigfoot, Stonehenge, and Pyramids of Giza with Ron Cain." Persons should email email@example.com to register.
Big Read participants are asked to share their thoughts and experiences on social media, #CCreads #CCLSneaBigRead.
An NEA award the library system received in June is funding a giveaway of a book of short stories, "Pretty Monsters," by Kelly Link, a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
