HINSDALE, NY - Two days after the U.S. House of Representatives approved a massive bill that would overhaul the nation’s health care system, Rep. Tom Reed will meet with constituents in Hinsdale.
Reed, who represents the Greater Olean area in Congress, will hold a town hall meeting at the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday from 2 to 3 p,m. The fire department is located at 3832 Main St.
“We choose to hold town halls because we believe in responsive and accessible government,” Reed said. “I look forward to a respectful conversation and finding common ground so that we implement fair changes to benefit all of those in our region.”
The session is one of three town hall meetings on Reed’s Saturday schedule. He also had town halls scheduled in Dunkirk at 9 a.m. and Busti at 11:30 a.m.
Reed is a stronger supporter of the health care bill that Congress approved Thursday.
“We are finally on the path to fixing our broke and broken health care system,” he said after the American Health Care Act of 2017 gained passage in the House.
