Grant applications for the next funding cycle of the Community Fund at the Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation are due Oct. 21.
“The Community Fund is the Foundation’s vehicle for responsive grantmaking, allowing the board to support projects and initiatives that address the changing needs of the community,” said CRCF Executive Director Karen Niemic Buchheit. “The grants, typically between $100 and $2,000, are often directed at helping nonprofit organizations with funding for new or expanded initiatives.”
Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations.
CRCF’s board reviews applications based on the applying organization’s stability, the impact its work has on the community, the feasibility of the project proposed in the grant application and the role a grant from the Community Fund would play in the overall project, Ms. Buchheit noted.
CRCF makes grants from the Community Fund in November and May every year.
In May the Community Fund made possible grants to support projects at Challenger Learning Center, Veggie Wheels, Ten Broeck Academy/Franklinville Central School District and The Food Bank of WNY.
Applications are available online at cattfoundation.org under the grant seekers tab. Applications may be completed online and emailed to email@example.com.
