CUBA, NY -- The annual Friends of the Cuba Library Inc. book sale will begin Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Cuba Circulating Library and run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.through Thursday, Oct. 4. The sale will be closed on Friday, but will be open on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an all-day $2-a-bag pricing.  

Located at 39 E. Main St. in Cuba, the sale will be held in the downstairs book sale room. Book sale organizer Peggy Pearce, said there is a large quantity of adult fiction, featuring books by popular authors, adult nonfiction, picture, juvenile and young adult books.

Most adult hardcover books are $1 while paperbacks are 50 cents.  Hard cover juvenile books are 50 cents, and juvenile paperbacks are 25 cents.   Adult and juvenile fiction – both hardcover and paperbacks -  are arranged by author, while nonfiction is arranged by subject, making it easy to find just what you are looking for.  

In addition to the book sale, the library will be holding a jumble sale. This sale will feature long forgotten items dredged from the recesses of the library’s closest and storage. The sale will also feature furniture, greeting cards and vintage posters. The jumble sale will run on Tuesday evening, Oct. 2, from 5 to 7 p.m., and again on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
