CUBA, NY -- Local musicians not Norman will host a New Year’s Eve Gala at the Palmer Opera House & Event Center, 12 W. Main St.., Dec. 31 from 8 p.m. until midnight.
not Norman is an Olean-based classic rock band that plays music by the Beatles, Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Buffalo Springfield, Lovin' Spoonful, Elvis Presley, the Doors, the Byrds and more. The band features Barry Gan on guitar and vocals, Mark Hubert on keyboards, guitar, vocals, and harmonica, Paul Psathas on guitar, vocals, saxophone, and harmonica, Glenn Wahl on drums and percussion, and Al White on bass guitar and vocals.
The gala will feature music, dancing, light refreshments, noisemakers and hats and of course a ball drop. The Palmer Opera House in Cuba is a vintage theater located in New York. This historic theater is steeped with rich character and details of another era. Palmer Opera House was built in 1867, and after a long and rich history fell into disrepair and restoration began in 2006 by the Cuba Friends of Architecture, the non profit organization charged with maintaining the historic venue.
