OLEAN, NY — Dylan Snyder, co-owner of Beat City Music, said May 1 is not a realistic date for businesses to reopen, and the restrictions could potentially be longer than the May 15.
He added Beat City Music is trying to do what it can to stay afloat while also keeping the spread of the virus at a minimum. For instance, Beat City has limited its shop hours to 3 to 6 p.m. and offers phone sales with no-contact drop-off for customers.
"Unfortunately, it is going to hurt businesses because this is about the greater good," he said. "Even if you don’t think it will affect you, you need to think of other people. If it needs to be closed through May, then that’s what we have to do to stop the spread of the virus."
